The short version.

The Paddock RV Park is a small family run park in Early, Texas. We collect the information we need to hold your site and get you parked, we use it to run the park, and we do not sell it or rent it to anybody. This policy explains that in full and applies to this website and to reservations taken by phone and email.

What we collect.

Information you give us

There are no forms on this site, so nothing you type here reaches us. When you call or email us using the details on our contact page, and as we take your booking, we may write down:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• Your mailing address, for billing and for our records
• The make, type and length of your rig, and how many slides it has
• Your arrival date and how long you plan to stay
• Vehicle details, including make and license plate
• The number of people staying with you, and details of any pets
• Anything else you choose to tell us in a message or on the phone

Information collected automatically

Our web host keeps standard server logs, which can include an IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use those only to keep the site working and secure. We do not run advertising trackers on this site, and we do not build a profile of you.

How we use it.

• To answer your question and hold a site for you
• To take payment and keep billing records, including metered electric readings tied to your site
• To reach you while you are staying with us, and about your reservation
• To keep the park safe and to enforce the park rules
• To meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations

We do not send marketing email. If we ever start a mailing list it will be something you choose to join, and every message will have a way to leave it.

Card payments.

We take Square, credit or debit card, cash or money order. Card payments carry a processing fee. Card numbers are handled by Square, our payment processor, and are never stored by us. What we see and keep is the receipt record: the amount, the date and the last four digits. Square handles that data under its own terms, which you can read at squareup.com/us/en/legal/general/privacy.

Who else sees it.

Only the people and services we need to run the park:

• Square, for card payments and receipts
• Our email and phone providers, in the ordinary course of carrying messages
• Our accountant and our insurer, where a record is required
• Law enforcement or a court, where we are legally required to hand something over

If the park is ever sold, guest records may pass to the new owner as part of the business. Anyone taking them on would be bound by this policy.

What we never do.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not post guest names, plate numbers or site numbers anywhere public.

Cookies and this website.

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our host may set a small number of cookies needed to serve the pages and keep them secure.

Our directions section embeds a Google map, and Google may collect information about that map view under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. That map is the only thing on this site loaded from anywhere but our own server: every photograph, font and icon is served by us, so nothing else about your visit reaches a third party. Links to other businesses on our nearby page take you to sites we do not control, and their privacy practices are their own.

How long we keep it.

Reservation and billing records are kept as long as we need them for tax, accounting and insurance purposes, which is generally seven years. Casual inquiries that never turn into a stay are cleared out once they are plainly stale. Ask us to delete something sooner and we will, unless the law requires us to hold it.

Your choices and your rights.

You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Call or email and we will handle it ourselves, usually the same day and always within forty five days.

Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to know what personal data we process, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data or run targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right stands. If we ever turn you down, you can appeal by replying to us in writing, and you can complain to the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.

We will never charge you or treat you differently for exercising any of this.

Children.

This website is meant for adults booking a stay. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. Children are welcome in the park, and the only thing we record about them is the head count on your reservation.

Changes to this policy.

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Anything significant will be mentioned when you book. Continuing to use the site or to stay with us after a change means the updated policy applies.
